AC Compressor air gap?

Any protips for setting the air gap besides what the factory manual says? Sanden Compressor.
Replacing the clutch, pulley, and coil.

Pulling the stock one off revealed one shim.

All you really need is to have enough shims in place so that without power, the clutch is not engaged. So put all the shims in that you can and still have it run free of friction without power. That way you'll have all the wear possible before the new one gives up.

Make sure that you do not use an aluminum or brass washer for a shim ......... yeah, don't ask me why!~:D
