Hi all,

On a NB, the front fender splash guard is crucial to preventing water from getting in the air intake box. On the Jetta this does not seem the be the case. Can someone confirm?

Thanks

If you drive through deep enough water either will suck it up. The Beetle would in shallower water.

The jetta air intake is directed around the drivers side headlight to the front grille. The NB is the one that intakes from the fender liner. It's absolutely crucial the NB has a good fender liner.
