Power steering

Hello, my power steering light has been on forever. I looked online to find location of it to test and my 2005 jetta doesn't seem to have one. any clue where to look? also it kinda knocks when I turn. but its not stiff to drive at all.

There are two completely different "2005 Jetta"s. The early one (looks like a 2004) has hydraulic steering, so no light, so I will assume you have a later car (looks like a 2006) with electric steering.

The Steering Module stores DTCs and communicates via the DLC just like the rest of the modules in the car, so you need to use a scan tool to find out what is wrong.
