Hey all, I have a leak in my rear hvac lines, right where the liquid line rubber crimps to the aluminum section...does anyone know the diameters off hand so I can upgrade them with high pressure rubber splice kits like these?? I just picked up a 2011 Q7 S-Line Prem. Plus TDI one owner with 45k on it from a MA dealership. It’s a vehicle wholesaler and I hate their mechanic. He thinks I have no idea what he is talking about and makes things up, I would rather do the work myself and have the dealer pay for the parts. I know the mechanic would just splice the dumb hose with JB weld aluminum stuff.

Besides the AC I want to replace the return PS line with a new one, and I am currently changing out all the fluids. The brake fluid flush was eye opening. Car runs and drives like a dream, minus a few kinks....

So I need the diameters of the 2 large suction hoses that run on the drivers side (3/4”??) and the one small liquid line that is leaking (3/8”? Or 8mm??? Or??)....

Thanks in advance guys!

This is what I will use to repair the AC lines...

So the rear liquid line is 10mm, the large return line is a 16mm. Fancy hydraulic hose shops sell both custom lines and splices for aluminum lines. PIRTEK and Omni services both have a wide range of the supplies you need to make your own AC lines where you have a connection you need to splice in at least. They can also reuse stock lines to re-make older lines.
