Hi everyone. I'm tossing around the idea of upgrading from my mk4 jetta wagon and getting into an A6 TDI. I've found two I'm interested in, both under 30k miles on them.

The first is a 2015. LED headlights, warm weather and cold weather packages (no ventilated seats only heated).

The 2016 has black optics, adaptive cruise, lane assist, pre sense, heated and cooled seats, driver assistance package, comfort seating package, Prestige Package, S Line Exterior, S Line Sport Package, (Some of these things might over lap into the packages, I'm not sure what everything falls under)

They're both black. Both one owner. 2016 has brown leather, 2015 has beige. I think the 2016 looks much better. But, the 2016 is $10,000 more, and is ~7 hours away. The 2015 is local to me.

Is the 2016 worth the extra $10k with the packages it has? The 2015 is $27k and the 2016 $35.5k. These both seem to be Good prices based on KBB...

Thank in advance.

I’d be all over that 2016 with those packages. That’s the list price I assume, you can get them down a bit?

I would try to negotiate the 2016, that package is a major cost new so probably worth the extra $$ and will be easier to re-sell if ever you do. 2016 are rare as it was last year and minimal production. I love my 2014 S-Line Tecnik package with Black ops. No adaptive / lane assist unfortunately. But does have the ventilated seats. The 2016 probably has the 20" wheels also. The 2015 sounds pretty base, but still well equipped. Check CARFAX? Are they coming from reputable dealers?

Get the 2016. I debated the exact same question. I pulled the trigger on a '16 A6 Prestige with same options minus S-Line additions. The car feels very future proof vs missing a few of those options/updates I would have wanted later on. Get the '16 and rest easy you wont be missing anything. Those updated headlights get so many compliments. It's easy for me to spot a 2015 or older audi on the road by just seeing the headlights and exhaust. That ventilated seat option is actually quite nice and used a lot. I could go on and on.

If you have the car 10 years the extra $8k doesn't seem all that much.

As mentioned I don't have the S Line but I do have the Prestige. I have 19" inch rims. Car was purchased through the Mannheim Auto Auction for $31,350 (fees and taxes added another $2.5k roughly). Had it been at a dealer price probably would of been ~$34.5k or a bit more. Was a one owner lease with 32k miles on it.
