Thank you, bigjake for posting this. I had the exact same issue with massive fuel leak in the engine compartment yesterday and was able to solve it today with the knowledge you provided and about 4" of fuel hose from West Marine.

III) The pump in the tank is the only pump that runs in KOEO. The tandem pump and the four injectors are only moving in KOER.

As this is a wee bit late, IFF it were mine, I would want to see the leak in progress( CO2 fire extinguisher in hand ). Seeing is worth a lot...and a hose that will stand a few psi and look OK won't perhaps like 20 psi...:)

I've found a leak in a similar area on my BEW Jetta. Does anyone know if the VY tandem pump recall is still active?

My VIN falls within the range applicable to the recall, but VW Canada says there are no active recalls on my vehicle...
