Stuck in Prescott AZ with cam issue. Any local mechanics?

Hello. Last summer I used the trusted mechanic list here at tdiclub, and happened to find one in my home town. THANKS! However, none are listed here in Prescott AZ, where I'm just passing through on my way to California. I'll talk to a couple shops and get rough quotes, but if anyone has referrals or warnings, I'd love to hear them. Plan B I suppose is a tow down to Phoenix.

Well, European Auto Technicians tore it down (David). Cam, lifters, bearings. $1200 parts, $1100 labor. Includes dropping the oil pan and replacing uptake filter.

Sorry to hear of troubles during road trip. Have to rent a car to finish trip and pick up your car on way home?

I like Prescott so it's not a problem hanging out here. Should be ready Friday. They seem like good guys at the shop. The mechanic doing the job is a TDI owner.
