Noise/Clatter at Low RPMs (1500-2000)

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the TDI club with a 2013 TDI Passat SEL. I have had the car about two weeks and am noticing that when accelerating lightly and maintaining engine speed in the 1500-2000 range I'm getting a "clacking" sound that corresponds to revs, sounds much rougher than idle or revs lower and higher Is this likely just "diesel clatter" or something that I need to get checked out? I apologize for the newb question but couldn't find anything on this specific issue on any other threads.

Thought it might be helpful to post a video. Appreciate any insight any veterans may have as I'm new to the diesel world.

Could be something as simple as crappy fuel but your clatter is significant, I wouldn't be surprised if it was indeed mechanical.

Ok thanks, I'm still working on the first tank of fuel from the dealer so will fill up fresh and see if that makes a difference. This was first thing in the morning (high 40s temperature) so it hadn't warmed up yet. I bought from a reputable VW dealer, wasn't certified but have extended engine warranty so hoping any issue would be covered.
