Finally received my offer and uploaded documents, but received an email this evening that the docs were rejected because they are not notarized. Can someone tell me how this is not notarized? I'm am the only registered owner and you can clearly see both the embossed seal and rubber stamp…*** VW?

You have the seal and a stamp. I only had the stamp and it was accepted.
It shouldn't have been rejected.

I received my offer yesterday as well. A little bittersweet. I have a 2015 financed through VW.

I originally was going to drive it until real life reports on the fix were in but due to some out of warranty issues and some life changes I am going to take advantage of being able to get out without losing anything despite loving my car.

I can't get into the spreadsheet; last time I saw it my state had been changed; I'm afraid for those who CAN see the spreadsheet the info/stat's are wrong because it's too hard to update. But for reference:

This is nuts. I will be over my mileage limit by that time. And that is their fault. The mileage punishment should be removed if they can't get **** together. Plus I started this in September but didn't realize I had to submit documents until 10/22. And I don't remember specifically what my mileage limit was, and there is no way easy way to find it.

Got my offer yesterday. Signed it and notarized it and sent it yesterday. Got the acceptance email today and got an appointment the 12th of January. Couldn't believe it was that quick to accept it. Happy about that. Just wish I could have selected a sooner date. Only got 600 more miles then I'll lose more money.

Even if they were perfectly keeping to their time limits, your appointment could have been as late as the end of February. Drive more, worry less. The miles on your TDI will cost you less than on anything else.

Agreed. I have an appointment now but I am driving it like crazy. Will probably go to next mileage bucket now that will cost me a bit but not the end of the world (other than waiting an extra few days to get the check by mail after appointment)

I read that it could it set back your buyback date if the mileage is over. Which would make it go over even more. I'm just trying to get approval on my next car early. Then I can relax.

I guess time will tell. I think most people have chosen EFT.

I really do enjoy driving it. The last week may have convinced me to get a GTI. Have not started Jeep in about a month

I turned in my car Wednesday this week. All went pretty smooth. There was a VW buyback specialist there waiting for me when I showed up. My appointment was at 1:30 and I was on my wait out by 1:47. Not bad 17 minutes. He went through paperwork first, then checked out the car, took some pictures, confirmed mileage was within range. Went back in, entered everything through his system. While sitting there I received an email indicating that they received my car. Thursday night I received an email from Chase Bank asking me to enter my bank account information so they could wire me the money. By 10 a.m. Friday morning, money was in my account. All went smooth and fairly quick.

As an side note - I am in NYS and I was impressed at how quick the whole thing went. I made it to the DMV to turn in my plates and cancel my insurance and back to work by about 2:45 that same day. Seems like "all the stars aligned". Never had quick DMV experiences like that.

Offer finally on 1 of 3

Received my first offer on my privately financed 2015. So relieved to see one come in. My salvaged 2013 offer should be in today also according to VW rep.
Submitted claim 09/19
Verified 11/14
Offer 12/17

Turned in my Passat 10:30 yesterday morning.

Holes in the rear bumper from the accessory parking sensors that I wouldn't be compensated for. Glue on the side rocker panels from the side skirts I wouldn't get compensated for. And the coolant light flashing thanks to a hole in the radiator due to a bad experience the day prior.

Thankfully the car was already in the service department, so I only had to drive it 50 feet from service to the check in point...

No questions asked. By 6pm, I already received notification from Chase that I had a payment from Vw and immediately submitted my bank transfer info.

Payment was the full agreed upon price.

So has anyone gotten a check instead of direct deposit? I chose check and just seen they'll send it to you couple days later. Just wondering how long it really takes.

You "just seen" incorrectly. If you choose a check payment, and your mileage at turn-in is at or below what they expect, they'll hand you a check based on the mileage they expected. If your mileage is far enough below that that you're owed more money, they'll send you a check for the difference within three banking days.

That is what the original information said, but when making the appointment it said check would be mailed in three days. Said you would have money sooner if paid through eft.

When you are able to get into the spreadsheet, just download the Excel file to review at your leisure and close out so others can get in.
