Hey all,
Just finished my swap from 09A Tiptronic to 02J Manual with very much success. Speedo, cruise, clutch cut-off and reverse lights all work. No CEL, no issues. Left the fault codes alone for coolant glow plugs they don't throw a CEL. Many thanks to all especially Boertle and Alphaseneinor for there good work and due diligence in setting the process straight forward and almost pain free.I know the big issue is getting the electrical right. For my car which is a 2004 Jetta wagon TDI it was a matter of piecing together both Beortlje and Alphaseneinor info to get to the promised land. I won't list what I did but will be happy to answer any specific questions via this forum. Thanks again to all the hardcore Vdubbers out there you are awesome!
