2006 Jetta TDI AC Problem

My ac blows ambient temp until engine warms up. Condensor fan does not come on when ac first started, but finally comes on when engine warm and radiator fan comes on. Compressor clutch does engage immediately when ac turned on, and after engine warm and condensor fan running, I have 43 PSI on low side-160 psi on high-75* ambient-42 to 50 degrees in car depending on interior fan speed. No check engine light on. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Compressor clutch... Do you have a MkIV/A4 platform Jetta Wagon?

Last I checked the 2006 MkV Jetta doesn't have a clutched compressor, it's a variable displacement compressor.

Jetta sedan. Don't know what type of compressor. But can see the "clutch" engage and disingage with ac on or off.

yes, about 90% of time. Until I stop the car and it cools off for several hours. Than it blows warm again until car warms up and both fans come on. Stupid condensor fan just does not come on until car heats up good. Than ac blows at 43* with with only intermitant problem for a few minutes.

So would you say you have the fairly common 5 minute delay problem that these cars have?

sounds about right, sometimes less time, sometimes 10-15 minutes. And what causes it? How does it get fixed?
