Nice TS-480! Is that the 100 or 200 watt model? Which AMP? Ameritron?
Whose screwdriver ant?
That is the NICEST ant mount I've seen, is it commercial, or homemade?
SGC makes some nice autotuners and amps too....

well I know very little about the stuff, but I'll attempt to answer....

the radio is the 200w model.
The amp is made by some guy, not sure if it's branded or home made. it's just an aluminum case with a heat sink and some fans on top.
The antenna is a 2" model, previously (in his last car) it was a 3". All I know is the control box that came with it says "predator"
the antenna mount was made by a guy that does metal work. it's powder coated steel. quite nice work too.

It's been a long time since I had rig in my car that wasn't a remote mount. Someone actually smashed the window in the day time to get it. After having to pay for a new dash, center console and a window, I vowed never to install one again. Thank god it was only a lowend dualbander and not an expensive HF rig.

I don't even change the stereo, or install DVDs. Just something else for someone to steal. Maybe if I ever move to a less crowded region where the low lifes aren't breeding like rabbits, I'll start installing nice toys again.

Enjoy it though, I sometimes miss rag chewing in the traffic grind.
