I've been trying to get my driver side parking light that is in the high-beam assembly. I was able to get out the passenger side parking light replaced, but the driver side seems to be in a really tough spot with the "air filter housing behind it. I'm thinking that the air filter housing will have to be completely removed, but I wanted to confirm that, before I start to remove that. Can someone confirm if that is the case?

Thanks.

I just replaced them in my wife's Jetta. You are correct, the passenger side is very easy, all I had to do was move the fuel filter housing out of the way. The driver's side is a little more difficult, but it only required removing the lid from the air filter housing. Once that was off, I reached in with a pair of "regular pliers" and gently got a hold of the plug, and gently pulled it out. Replaced the bulb, then gently used the pliers to snap the plug back into the housing.
