As the owner of an 09 TDI, I had decided after looking at the reimbursement tables as filed with the court, that I would simply offer my vehicle back to VW, and call it quits. First time in my life that I ever made money on a car. But now I'm having second thoughts. Assuming (yes I know) that VW can successfully fix the 1st Gen to everyone's satisfaction, I am wondering what the market value of my low mileage 68K car might be in a market where diesel SUV's are shrinking in number? If the market value for a fixed 3.0 is 20K or better, than I am better off getting the fix with compensation, than selling it back.
