Hello all..

I have an electrical problem with the passenger side headlight on my 2004 TDI Wagon. The light failed and assuming it was the bulb, I replaced the bulb and then it worked, temporarily. A short time later (~ 2 weeks) the light failed again and upon inspection the pigtail socket appeared burnt so I replaced it: the light then worked, again temporarily. A few weeks later the light failed again and once again the pig tail socket was burned. The fuses all seem fine – any thoughts on where I might find the problem. FYI – the wiring in the vehicle is all OEM. Thanks in advance

The replacement pig tail was oem also?

I think tunemyeuro.com has some upgraded pigtails. Or just hit up the junkyard.

Years ago I was told a bad connection could burn lights out.
Never made a lot of sense to me.
If the socket is burnt I would think it's a poor connection.
Causes high resistance in the connection.
