I am doing a TDI conversion and will have to delete the power steering pump due to clearance issues, but I plan on using the factory AC compressor and was curious if it was possible to run this set up?
The water pump and p/s pump run off of the V-belt, while the AC compressor, alternator and tensioner on the serpentine belt. I know they make a water pump pulley for vehicles with no AC that make it run off the serpentine belt (part number 028 121 031 K), which would work for me if I could also run the AC Compressor using this method, but then the belt would have to be longer and routed differently, but I'm sure it can be done. Just wondering if anyone else has pulled it off before.
