Hello, I was wondering what motor oil and transmission oil would give me the best fuel economy. I have heard a lot about Redline MTL and ELF, but I'm not sure about the G50, G52 and everything else. Should this go in the Fuel Economy section or this one? Could somebody point me in the right direction, Thanks

0W30 oil that meets VW506.01 will protect your engine and maximize your fuel economy. It is more costly, but with UOA you can extend the drain intervals out to 31K miles/2 years.

SUNRG has a sticky at the top of this forum on G52 tranny oil. You should read that.

Also, if you haven't done a cleaning out of the throttle body and the intake manifold you should either do it (if you are wrench handy) or have it done by someone you trust. This will allow the engine to breath again and maximize the fuel/air ratio thus leading to better mileage.
