After having two of the original Firestone T125/70-15 95M tires explode while stored in the car I decided to dig deeper into a replacement. I was successful at finding a Continental CST 17 temporary spare tire at Tire Rack. It is made in Czechoslovakia I never knew the original spare had an M speed rating good for 81mph although I often ran that speed on them. The current price is $95.01 but does show on backorder.
I went ahead and tossed the old assemblies as I'd rather have a full size spare anyway. Should someone want an original size in a sedan there is a source.
