Hello everyone,
Still new to TDI's as I arrived in California from Canada to inspect and pick up my 2012 red TDI and discovered the car has some uncarriage damage. We don't have the red colour here in Canada so since I was already headed down to California on vacation I looked around and thought I had found a good deal but I am now concerned about the damage.
It looks like either the car was driven over a curb or damaged on a lift as only the lower panel under the passenger door is damaged and there is no damage I can find elsewhere. No damage on the car fax and a visit to the original dealership confirmed the carfax. You can see the damage in the following photo.

Anyhow it was getting dark at the dealership so I'm returning in three days to further inspect the car but I'm wondering if should even bother. I'll have to get the damage repaired, which concerns me with the salt here in Canada.
It's the version we wanted with red/beige and keyless start so I'm willing to consider a reduction in price but does anyone have any thoughts on the damage?
