2005 passat B5.5 wagon BHW 2.0 Brake rotors

My mechanic tells me that it is difficult to order the brake rotors ahead of time as there are different sizes used on this model. Can anyone elaborate on this or is he just trying to lock me into his shop to do the work. I would prefer to buy the rotors and install myself but not go through the hassle of reordering if I got the wrong ones.

You must be new..... They are a preferred vendor here and the shop owner, Peter, is very active on the board and a long time member. You can't go wrong with that brake pad and rotor set.

The front brakes for the 4Motion (V6, TDI, and 1.8T) are the same as the FWD Passats, 288mm. The rear are different due to the "hat" being taller.
