I disconnected TCM to dry it after water intrusion on 2005 passat. Upon reconnecting, car is shifting horribly. I wanted to do a reset per ross-tech website (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/autotrans.html) However, I am unable to access the "basic settings" function with my VCDS. I am new to using the system and imagine it is something simple that I have set up incorrectly.

Do you have a legitimate Ross Tech cable or a cheapo Chinese knock off?
