I'm a new TDI owner (and a fairly new member here). My wife and I were thinking about getting a personalized license plate that reflects our fondness for the new TDI and/or diesel in general.

I'm sure a lot of you already have such plates, and I'd like to hear 1) what cool plates you already have, and/or 2) what suggestions you might have for us.

Apologies in advance if this topic has already been done.

I want the one in my aviator, but CT only allows 6 letters. So maybe TDI BRN.

Ah, so YOU'RE the one...heh. I also thought about WHAT GAS and NO SMOGS.

Never thought I'd want a vanity plate, but this is simply too good to pass up.

I am thinking about either "GOT DZL", "50MPGVW", or maybe "BIOGOLF". If those are taken I might go for 51 or 52 mpg on the second one. If I was buying a cummins I would think about "SOOTPWR"
.

I saw a guy in a chat room, he said his screen name was from a popular t-shirt in the 70's... "Feck Opuc"
Maybe you could fit that on a license plate? Eh, maybe a little too much, but I'd like to have that t-shirt maybe!

Amusing, but in California, we can only do up to 7 characters, and the California DMV is fairly strict about anything that anyone might even vaguely consider offensive.

You have to be *very* subtle with personalized plates, and they will ask you what something means if they don't get it. Takes some real creativity.

If you have invested a lot of money in mods then you could use this:

I'd be very curious to hear what state would allow that plate...

I've got DRTYDSL. I think its stupid now and plan on giving it back to DMV for a regular plate.

I am filling out my Application now for PA. I am thinking DEZL RLZ, DZL RULZ, or NDRSCHN short for Niedersachsen. My father's family comes from that area, in Germany.

A VW History lesson of the Day, Wolfsburg is located in Lower Saxony (niedersachsen). My great uncle von der Wense and his neighbor von der Schulenburg, gave lands up for the orginal VW Wolfsburg factory .
