Located under and forward of the center console, ahead of the shifter, kind of tucked in under the console cubby but close to heater box.

I've looked in 4 cars, pulled the center console, pulled the shifter surround/forward console, nothing but the a/c shut off relay. Where oh where could Vw have put it ?

It’s where Steve said it was, only all the way forward under the carpet and padding.
