Activity Schedule! IMHO a TDI Fest should be a GTG and not a wrenching event!Least favorite because of location or least favorite because of the activity schedule?
Least favorite because of location or least favorite because of the activity schedule?
I've come to recognize the fact, and to accept, that the 'fest have been just another GTG at another location. I, and others, have been to bigger attendee count TDI GTG than some 'fests, so, yeah, "The Fest" is just a glorified, better planned, GTG.Activity Schedule! IMHO a TDI Fest should be a GTG and not a wrenching event!
That doesn't sound particularly exciting, since the EPA offices would likely be empty on Labor Day Weekend.I say the 2016 location should be in the vicinity of
Environmental Protection Agency
1200 Pennsylvania Ave, N.W.
Washington, DC 20460
would be fun to show support for VW and say screw the EPA at the same time.
fixed it for ya.My only requirements are that it's somewhere where there's a beautiful drive to/from the fest and it does take several days of driving...
So where were you this year?My only requirements are that it's somewhere where there's a beautiful drive to/from the fest and it doesn't take several days of driving... I'd say within 1000-1500 miles of Baltimore would be fine with me
That'd be fine with me toofixed it for ya.
Well, fixed it for ME.
I had to work. And with a skeleton crew I had no way of making it up to the fest this yearSo where were you this year?
Yeah, the problem with skeleton crews is everything just falls through their fingers.I had to work. And with a skeleton crew I had no way of making it up to the fest this year
lol!!yeah, the problem with skeleton crews is everything just falls through their fingers.
Badlands, South Dakota!CO is pretty central. If you want to go smack dab, it'd be somewhere in the middle of no where Nebraska.
It does look like there are some great driving roads out in that area.Badlands, South Dakota!
I like this idea!Badlands, South Dakota!
Just not Aug 3 - 17, 2017!It does look like there are some great driving roads out in that area.
Plus all the sites to see, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, etc.
Sturgis, SD for 2017 TDIFest.
I think that the entire state of MO is out of the running. If I recall correctly is was Missouri state law that scuttled the St. Louis TDIFest in 2014.Geographic center of the US is Jefferson City MO. Been there a bunch. Not a very exciting area unless distribution centers are your thing. Branson, MO, perhaps? (joking).
Well, what can you expect from the Missouri "Pukes"?I think that the entire state of MO is out of the running. If I recall correctly is was Missouri state law that scuttled the St. Louis TDIFest in 2014.
Have Fun!

He have figured out acceptable ways around those problems. Missouri could happen in the future.I think that the entire state of MO is out of the running. If I recall correctly is was Missouri state law that scuttled the St. Louis TDIFest in 2014.

Cool. It is centrally located. He have figured out acceptable ways around those problems. Missouri could happen in the future.
I'd certainly be interested in this! Ruby falls is right around the corner from there. Lots to see and do around that townWhat about Chattanooga, TN? It says on the Chattanooga VW plant website that they usually give tours, but suspended them indefinitely. If contacted with our plan of a massive TDI get - together maybe they would grant an exception?
