Webasto Top V

I've been doing some digging and can't seem to find an answer - Does the Top V communicate directly to the vehicle systems or can it be controlled by the standard timer or a T100 Telestart remote?

I had the webasto on my 01 for over 5 years and never heard of top V what are you talking about?

From Here the guy states that with the Top V Webasto switched to a WBus signal (some sort of digital signal) instead of a DC voltage. Apparently the oval Webasto timer provides this WBus signal.

Unfortunately, they also changed the software so there are two versions
1) supplemental heater Zuheizer
2) parking heater Standheizung
You might think semantics but (1) receives it's on/off signals over CAN hi/lo and (2) receives the on/off via this WBus. At this time I believe (1) ignores signals coming from WBus.

OK. Looks like you can't use the supplemental heater as a parking heater whatsoever.
