Swap 5 Spd. Internals

I have a 2000 VR6 5spd. and a 2000 2.0 5spd. I need the gearing of the VR6 into the 2.0 case, assuming the 2.0 case will work in my '03 TDI. I can't afford this EGR trans. ( if I could even find one ) that belongs in there. And I can't take much more of this 01M. I don't have a transmission shop here in my garage, but I've done some crazy stuff in there already. How difficult would it be ? Anybody ? '

It'll be a pain - you have to adjust the input and output shafts, as well as the differential.

OK, there should be specs on the settings, no? Special tools required? Anybody?

I have the specs if you want to go at it, but you'll need adjusting shims and a way to press them on if the shafts are out of adjustment once you test fit the case half.

A used trans is $500 or less is you search around....
