2011 toureg tdi driveshaft?

Hello everyone iam new to this forum so thankyou for any help you can give.My son just bought a 2011 toureg with 3.0tdi and vw says it needs a new centre bearing.So we pulled the driveshaft off the car.I cannot find anything on how these shaft split apart to put this hanger bearing on.everything I can find is only for the older style driveshaft so iam guessing it was changed in 2010 or 2011 any help on getting these apart thanks.

Well we figured it out.the splined shafts have to snap rings down inside the slip shafts once you get them out out the shafts pull apart.There is nothing online that shows how they come apart we looked for days and all the dealers will not service them they want to replace to the whole at $1500cad .

There are just too many to list....
The prop shaft is a VERY common failure item on the T'reg, and they are available in the aftermarket for the older models for less than half the dealer price, GKN brand (which is who made them for Volkswagen). For some reason they are not [yet] available for the newer models. Not even sure what the difference is.

There are also center support bearing/mount kits, usually less than $100, but again not sure if they fit all the shafts or not.

Nobody has them available yet for 2011+ models yet Colorado drive shaft says they have only done one and couldn't guarantee the repair took us about three hours but we figured it out.Iam not sure if the aftermarket companies that make the hangers itself make it available for 2011+but the hanger itself and rubber were fine the actual bearing was wore out.

because it was redesigned and failures are much more rare on t3s
