Has anyone heard about any plans for these? Hubby wants a new car, a covertible. I was hoping that these were in the plans...TDI of course!
Any plans for a Jetta Convertible?

Umm... kinda. The next generation Passat and Jetta [and Golf] will share an architecture [A5-platform,] which has been released in Europe [the Passat will apparently still be larger, and styled differently.] If you look at the VW Concept C, it is the convertible A5 VW has planned [allegedely a spring '06 release] - which the press release says will have it's own nameplate, but which appears to share most of the Passat styling cues. Do a search on VW Concept C and you'll see lots of good pics... a retractable hardtop, no less. I'm really looking forward to it. Maybe I can have my diesel convertible, after all.
