Heyo!

I was installing a new wheel bearing and finally had everything being put together when I found I had damaged the thread on my CV axle beyond what a file and a dremel could repair safely. A new nut won't thread on, it'll just keep backing itself out.

What do you guys think is the fastest way to get this car up and running again?

I've got about 3 options I think,
Find a used axle off Craigslist or similar sites
Buy a new joint from Cascade German, which I can pick up locally
Aftermarket CV Axles from auto parts stores like O'Reilly and Autozone

So really just a used axle or Cascade German, as I'm not sure I trust local auto parts, even if they do have the CV I need in stock at a local store. What used axles could I get that I could either take the joint off and put on mine or just use the axle in place.

Would any CV from the 02J transmission work (1.8T, 2.0, etc), or even maybe the outer joint from the automatic transmissions?
