wiper problems?

Hi, I recently replace my wiper stalk, works great. Now, the new problem is the wipers work perfectly one day, then the next day they struggle to make a full sweep, as if they don't have enough power. Any suggestions, new wiper motor?, or relay? ?? ?? thanks for the suggestions and help, Jeff

I had this same problem on my old Jetta. I took some 3 in 1 oil and lubed the shafts after pulling off the wiper arms. I would run the wipers and squirt on some oil on the shaft and it would work its way down. They came right back up to normal speed. I also sprayed some lube on the the wiper arm joints under the hood.
