I sold mine back on 12/7/17, and got the check from Bosch about 5 week later (check was dated 1/3/18). If that timeline holds, you have 1-2 weeks more to wait.

I understand - on one hand it's nice not to have to take any action to get the money ... but on the other I don't like it being such a "black hole". Of course, in my case it was "only" $350.

thanks for update will keep waiting here thenI sold my 2014 back to VW on Jan 3rd The buy-back specialist said I should receive a check from Bosch by the end of Jan. Still waiting...

I received half of the Bosch money for both of my cars at the same time. A few months later I received the other half for one and I’m still waiting on the other.

I had an informative chat with a Bosch specialist. What I took from it is that VW sends lists of eligible claimants in batches. By this I mean those who submit the notarized paperwork or get the recalls done. Then Bosch processes and issues payments twice a month, similar to company paydays every other week.I sold my 2014 back to VW on Jan 3rd The buy-back specialist said I should receive a check from Bosch by the end of Jan. There is a chance people will get the dates just right to only take 3 weeks and an equal chance you get all the dates wrong and end up with 5 weeks plus possible postage delays depending on your local.

Isn't the Bosch check automatically sent out when you turn in the vehicle?
In other words, we don't have to do anything special or in addition, right?

Your explanation matches my experience on how the Bosch pay-out is working.
I received my Bosch check today. What I gather is after VW bought my car back on Jan 3rd, VW sends notices to Bosch, and Bosch sends out checks. So what determines the time frame is how fast VW submits settled claim information (buy-back or fix) to Bosch.
As I never expected anything from VW or Bosch, I'm just glad it all over for my 2014 and I came out decently ahead. What to do with my windfall? Bourbon & cigars tonight!

If you registered your car with VW for either a buy-back or fix, you are automatically registered with Bosch. I received a notice from Bosch last year stating all this. When the car is turned in, Bosch sends out the check. As I did a buy-back, I can't speak to how fast Bosch works with a fix situation.

I just had a look back at my checking account, and the $200 for the 2015 A3 I returned on 12/20/16 was deposited on 6/5/17. Probably spent it within a week too. I had to check back because I saw your post and honestly couldn’t remember getting it either.
