What does your ALH sound like when shutting off?

What does your ALH MK4 sound like upon shutdown? I have the slightest “clunk” when shutting off. I do not have an ASV, as I deleted my EGR, and I am most confident the engine mounts are in good shape.

Is this just due to the high compression of these engines?

Yes it's due to the high compression, and that's why they installed the ASV

Sounds like a bag of nails without the asv, I done away with the egr but kept the asv and I've got the PD150 one to go with the PD intake just to keep the asv.

What is the best intake to use and still keep the functional EGR when running a 17/22? That's my next and final mod and I really like the Malone dynamic EGR.
