fuel economy after emissions recall flash
Now I have a few long range road trip fill ups and I am really seeing about 2-3 mpg improvement. The first trip, I was able to drive casually, and saw the best improvement (48mpg on that tank), then a long road trip with three more fillups. This trip meant more aggressive driving and more pressure to keep the speed up to highest allowed (a few more than posted ALL the time-and more sometimes). Averages there were 46mpg.
BEFORE the emissions recall update, I struggled to get 42-44 mpg. It is clearly different. Now, it is easier to find a place where it maintains torque/speed, but shows 48-54 or more on the instantaneous readout. This does not prevent it from dropping to 34-36 on the hills, but even then I see improvements over before the update.
I'm happy
