This is what the Sylvania catalog lists for my Jetta for the front turn signal/parking light:

Front turn signal: 3457LL.

Its a clear bulb, so I bought 3457A LL, its the amber lacquer double filament bulb with the same push-in plastic base.

Then there is a different bulb description, according to the catalog data section:

The Sylvania product catalog it states:

"3357A / 3457A SilverStar Signal Light
High Performance Signal Light - Dual filament for both signal light and parking light - Irridescent when off, Amber when on.

Which one does it take?

Thanks.

3457 (clear) since the lens in the headlight is amber

The 3457 NA LL is used for early Golf & Jetta with clear turn signal lens

The Silverstar version is for the clear lens, it's to make it purty

Thank you. I just realized that I never really paid attention to the lense color and just assumed it was clear, since the tail lights on the '04s are clear in the turn signal area and use a yellow bulb. I just checked the fronts. Yellow! So its a clear bulb up front. I guess I have to take them back and get the right ones.
