VAG CAN OBD2 Data logger?

I just bought a 2005 VW Passat 2.0L TDI (USA Version). I have been looking at the VCDS software and cable and I have no problem paying the $350 for the cable and software (esp with the $50 discount on the bently manual)

What I really want is a stand alone box that can log all the data so I can view it with my PC later. If it also could display guages for when I am driving that would be great too. I have been searching all over and I haven't found one that will do the VAG bus... only OBD2 (not as many codes right?)
Does anyone know of such a device?
Does anyone have a VAG-Com cable in the Wichita area?

A 2005 (B5.5) Passat doesn't need or support CAN for logging data from the diagnostic port.

I'm not aware of a device such as the one you're seeking, although our next generation interface will likely incorporate something like that.
