2010 TDI Touareg. Block heater

I have just picked up a 2010 TDI Touareg and find that it does not come with or you cannot purchase a block heater as VW says you do not need one.It gets cold in Orillia and why I do not argue that the TDI will star, it takes ages to get cabin warmth.VW did not supply heaters for our 2005 TDI Jetta but one was found to keep me quiet.Anyone with experience of fitting a block heater or inline heater on a TDI Touareg and the model used ?

I haven't had the luxury to have a close up look on the V10 TDI engine, only in pictures. I believe it's possible to have an engine pre-heater installed in your V10 TDI.

It depends how toasty warm you want to have it, I think the 1000W is plentifull. Maybe the 1500W since you have a 10 cyl. engine. I am told that you can buy this engine pre-heater from Canadia Tire. The above engine pre-heater can also be used for your '05 Jetta TDI. Another option is to install factory engine pre-heater for your Jatta TDI, which is only available from the dealer.

I am sure 2010 Touareg is a V6[Yes I checked]

The engine is the V6 and we have traded the Jetta 05 for a 09TDI but my wife found the visability [she is a head turner, not a mirror person] somewhat restricted .So we looked at, and drove, the new TDI Touareg and she gave it the thumbs up so we traded the 09 Jetta with the block heater for the '10 Touareg which does not have one.
So I am back to my question what is my best option for a block heater or in line hose heater for the Touareg.?
