This was a project of mine from a few years ago, and was previously installed in my '03 wagon. Everything works as it should (namely the GP light). It started life as a W8 cluster which I converted to the A4 platform. While doing so I also inverted the clock and odometer screens (mostly cool factor, but I like it and it's a nice touch), swapped all the gauge (and turn, and I think highbeam) LEDs to red as well. This is much easier to see with when driving at night, so if you do a lot of night driving, I'd get this cluster. I also replaced the main LCD screen with a brand new replacement from a known vendor. I am trained at surface mount soldering and have used the cluster in my own car so I know it functions properly. The tach and speedo needles are custom, as well. There is an LED installed for the rear fog icon, so you'll just need to run a wire if you want that to function.
I have reset the cluster to a fresh state. I can program it however you wish (lit needles, cruise only when you're running on cruise, lit displays, show true coolant temp, etc.), just let me know if there's anything special you want. It will, of course, come with the PIN. It's clean and ready to be adapted to your car. I can pass along swap info if you need it, but there are also plenty of resources here on the forum. You'll need to get the PIN from your cluster to adapt it. If you send your cluster to me I can get that, but shipping to (and from, if you want it back) will be on your dime.
If you need an MFA stalk I think I have that as well. I'm pretty sure it's for a wagon/golf since that's what I have and probably what I pulled out of a donor car.
If you have any questions, please ask. It's not that difficult to swap clusters, you just need to know what you're getting in to and have all of the information ahead of time. Changing the country code will switch the temp to *F from *C.
$400 shipped.
This is how the cluster currently looks:
Be ok with your car looking like this for a bit (though I think I was also swapping in heated seats at the same time):
Inverted display on left, normal VW on right (for reference):
