That's tank MPG (just a hair optimistic), but it happens to match lifetime MPG (see signature for Fuelly).
Looking good. BTW, I have signatures turned off. It's just more stuff that I usually don't need to see, though sometimes it bites me.

I'm going to the auto show here in Boston in about 3 hours. HA! :D

This show was a dud. Not worth it. I hope yours was fun. Pictures?

We got back home about 45 minutes ago - another 1,400 miles on the clock. :D

The drive home was snowy and traffic was light, aside from all of the triple trailer big rigs on the Ohio Turnpike.

I'm envious of the trip to WA. I go to a family gathering in Santa Barbara every summer and have been threatening to drive out there for years, but it means too much time away from work. Maybe this year...

Which TDI are you talking about? The Passat only has 22,000 miles on it and the Jetta doesn't have a DPF because it's from 1999.

My parents are building a home on Chuckanut Drive and we're going to visit for a week.

Well, mileage wise, it's not much longer to go through Bend than to follow the freeway when going to Colorado, but it would certainly take longer, so I can understand you skipping our beautiful area.

Hmm... that would add a day to the trip - perhaps we can fit it in. I'll have to see!

You could trade them your Passat for two of his.

or three...

Maybe four and rent tow dollys so you can tow them for spare parts on the trip home.

You like the money pit Benz, eh? ;). It's a nice car - just a little hard on the wallet sometimes.

Whereabouts on Chuckanut? My family is from B'ham / Pacific NW area. I would always take the Drive over I-5 whenever i could. The challenge was always to make it from the South end up to Viewcrest Rd without touching the brakes - gear shifts only. ;)

Just north of Yacht Club Road.

Viewcrest is definitely awesome - I love exploring around the Chuckanut Drive area.

I'll be making a similar trip from the Springfield area to Vancouver, WA this summer when I get married. Cross-crossing our way back to see as much as we can over three weeks. Roughly 8,000 miles total round trip! Hopefully we make it back to VA without killing each other!

Yeah I did a similar length trip out to TDIFest in 2001 in Park City, Utah... it's definitely a long time to be in a car with someone. Good luck! :)
