Hi, is it possable to adjust the MAF sensor readings useing the VAGcom program as i have a golf TDI 1997 A3 (AHU engine) and the fuel consumption is very high (450 miles on full tank) i have checked everything and the only thing that is out of specification is the MAF sensor ( MAF specified 325mg/str MAF actual 482mg/str on idle with engine warm )i have replaced the MAF sensor with a new one and the readings are still the same, so is there any way i can adjust the MAF sensor by useing the VAGcom program, hope somone can help, many thanks ,jetric.

I second Mindy's suggestion. Sounds like a stuck EGR. I've intentionally "stuck" mine closed and I get similar readings as you're seeing (actual air flow greater than requested). But i'm still getting between 48-51 miles to the gallon. Your fuel consumption problem may not be related to the reading. (The MAF is most likely reading the correct (actual, real-life) air flow, so electrically adjusting it wouldn't accomplish anything anyways).
