I saw 2.29 for D2 at Home Depot station yesterday...unfortunately I wasn't in my TDI. Most other stations around are near 2.50.

I paid $2.49 for ULSD at Chevron. No ULSD at Wal Mart yet - how do they get away with it?

Hi gang,
It has been consistent at $2.59 at my Mobil stop for more than a month now. That is for lsd. Don't know if they intend to sell ulsd. The help doesn't know either. I don't much care. Part of me would like to see what the ulsd is like, but the other part of me reads the "leaking" stories after ulsd use. I am not anxious to experience problems. I don't pretend to understand why diesel has been higher than gas, but at least it has come down some since this thread was started back in April. DK

Paid $2.54 Today in Montrose Colorado at a Western Convience Station. Lowest Diesel I have found since I bought my TDI last November. It was ULSD.

That station probably just doesn't want to guarantee that its diesel has 15 ppm or less. It's probably close to 15 ppm, and might be less, but they don't want to bother with the paperwork -- which wouldn't be much, since each load of fuel they receive will say if it's ULSD or not. Or maybe, they want to stay flexible, and take whatever fuel has a lower wholesale cost.

In Edmonton, Alberta, Canada the best place I have found to get diesel for my Jetta is at the "Flying J" East of the city in Sherwood Park for 70.9 cents per litre. By far it is the cheapest in Edmonton!! It costs about $35.00 to fill my Jetta.

Well....it has started UP again here. From $2.59 up to $2.63 in the blink of an eye. I expected to see a reverse after the election. Maybe they finally got ulsd, and that's why it's up. Won't know that for another day or so. Only have 670 something miles on this tank:D . DK

I did get ULSD tonight. First time at my station, and the price did go up.($2.63):( It was funny. The LSD sticker was left on the pump. It was longer than the ULSD sticker. The pellet head that put the new ULSD sticker on just pasted the new sticker over the top part of the LSD sticker. The warnings about LSD fuel doing damage then appeared to be part of the ULSD sticker. I told them about it, and they are going to black out the still visible and confusing part of the old sticker. Got that? D

Just had a 20 cent jump yesterday at the local Crown station to $2.79 a gallon (Northern Virginia, on US Route 1). Gas is $2.14 at that station. That's a 65 cent difference!

The most rediculous price I have seen (two days ago) was at a Shell station at Rt. 236 and Prosperity Avenue (Fairfax, VA). D2 was $3.13 and RUL was $2.14:eek:

$3.02? Man....I hope we aren't headed that high! If ulsd is going to cost a little more I can live with it. I may even be able to buy a new diesel car in this @#$%^&* state because of it. I figure another two or three years out of the '02, then maybe we'll be seeing some choices like Europe has.....I can dream can't I? DK

Nov 28th, eight days ago, I filled up paying $2.689

Today I saw one station charging $2.959, one charging $3.059, and the rest all $3.09 or higher.

Yep, 30 cents in one week. A BP refinery had a little problem and shipped some out-of-spec ULSD. It caused a wild scramble for available fuel on the spot market.

We bottomed out @ $2.45 a week or so ago , today $2.65 to $2.75 for Diesel in the Denver area .

RUG has gone up too here from just above $2 a gal a few weeks ago to the $2.30 range .

Funny the price of crude hasn't really changed in over 2 months ??? ...........

RUG: $2.19/gal and ULSD: $2.45/gal, a 26 cent gap is a little better than it was a few days ago but both are going up pretty fast.

I just wish I could pay your prices for diesel, I am paying 95.9 pence per liter here in the UK, 4.5 approx to the gallon, or £4.50 per gallon and going by the exchange rate it works out about $9,00 a gallon UK, I know your gallon is smaller but try to work out how much you would have to pay at our prices, most of the price is tax
