Water pump replaced

Has anyone replaced there water pump befor the timing belt interval On the 2015 Jetta or golf ? Just curious if water pump last till 100,000

I'm sure it's intended to last to a belt change and probably much longer. With any part there will always be ones that preform as expected and there will be some that don't.

Do a search, lots of 2015 TDI water pumps fail LONG before the timing belt interval. I have personally seen a handful of them.

Leaks, noise (from the vario-displacement collar) and now an updated part (without the collar) has come out.

VW eliminated the collar?

I have read here and elsewhere that the new replacement pumps do not have the collar, correct, but the control solenoid still gets plugged in... it just no longer does anything.

The VR6s are still variable, though, but they are vacuum controlled (via a solenoid nearby) not directly.

Plugged in was pump part electric

I'm at 118000(ish) miles now with no issues with the pump. I'll have VW do the timing belt change depending on what they change out for the $$$.
