I used to buy my wife flowers quite often, but within days, she would have them tied together and hanging upside down somewhere to dry them out. As for Flowers, My S/O and I came to an agreement long ago that buying flowers on Valentines day is like paying more a TDI vehicle when fuel prices are high and there are almost no diesels for sale in the market... wait... a crap...never mind.
I just get her a card and leave the flower buying to the other 362 or so days a year when flowers are not marked up excessively.
