Need a good used Transmission

I have a 2004 Passat TDI and the tranny just went out. Anyone have a good used with relatively low miles that works for sale? The quote I have been given is a little out of my budget. I'll pick it up or have no problem paying for shipping if the price is right.

They are difficult to find in working condition. Come up from time to time.

Have you considered converting the car to manual? Seems to be the way most are going these days.

Internally these FWD gearboxes are all the same. You can actually swap the internals over from a 1.8T. Or.... the valvebody and final drive into the 1.8T gearbox while using a reman torque converter. You`ll want to retain the TDI pump too.
