Well I am back. After a short time without a TDI and keeping my diesel fix with the wife's CRD, some friends finally sold me their 98 Jetta with 180,000 miles, but I am pretty impressed after putting 300,000 on a 99.5 Golf Auto. All stock, been going through it trying to get up to speed on all the differences. Bkmetz I can see why you liked these cars, they are tough and get great mileage. Have gotten 50 with the last two tanks running air. May have to get with MooCar and change the timing belt soon. Price was right, and I needed max mileage for a work car.
