That's cool. Just curious really. Not sure if you knew but the Eurovan has a functional inlet that almost looks exactly like your grill. :)

Bringing a dead thread back from the dead.

Due to work and life parked the car for the past few years. Got the bug and got working again.

Day one - clean and assess

Capacitor exploded...

Day 2

Car drive fine (save flat spotted tires)

Discovered my drivers position fender liner was shredded

Removed
fog light harness (no longer being used)
Battery tray(hold down bolt seized so replacing it)

Removed radio cage to update radio as my old radio didn’t have Bluetooth. Went with a mechless headunit as I don’t really listen to cds anymore....holy space savings!!

Pulled the wheels off to get new tires (flat spots and date code 10 years old)

Next weekend,
Oil change
Frost heater removal
Bypass filter removal (I’m not 100% set on removing it)
New tires on
Radio in

Make a new list of to dos

Wow! That had a ton of dust on it. Glad to see you're getting the car going again Matt. I can imagine that a lot of the electronics is going to get updated?

Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what the car looks like after its refresh.

Love to see your MK IV come to life. Very nice leather Recaros. Been on a hunt for those but I can only find clutch version. Is your trunk lid original or did you change it to a european model?

It’s actually. Hybrid 04 trunk lid with the spoiler with a euro plate tub grafted in.

Mr. Brennan is going to help me do the 5 speed swap(finally) and then enjoy driving it for the summer. Hoping to drive it to udderly euro in fall.
