Just seeing what clutch upgrades options are out there and any recommendations

I know of the south bend smf ones
And DKM one.

Looking for some input and possibly have a nice clutch upgrade thread for reference.

Sachs SRE. A DMF setup seems to work best with the 02Q.

Please don't use a SMF with that transmission

Sachs DMF or South Bend DMF is the ticket for these cars.

Believe we talked over email about this, and 100% agree with Kerma. The 02Q NEEDS that DMF to keep it's inferior steel synchros from breaking the retaining tabs off. Once all three tabs are gone the ring just spins around and the selector hub won't grab the gear. It took 10k miles on a SMF with Fluidampr to lose 5 of these tabs total (two tabs on 1st, and all three on 2nd).

If I could do it all over again, I'd have gone with a larger turbo that spools a little later so that flywheel shudder isn't an issue. Turning boost down when you know the turbo is capable stings a bit.

KERMA,

I'm currently looking for the Sachs DMF. Where can I find this? I don't see it on your website or anyone elses for that matter.
