Finding TDC without flywheel marks

I always always always put a dab of Whiteout on the timing mark of any flywheel I own... new in the box, or already in the car.

The older I get the dimmer the light in my garage seems to be... must be the bulbs wearing out ;-)

I actually have a production print customer that changes the high pressure fluorescent bulbs in the graphic design/digital color short run production room monthly to ensure correct color reproduction :eek: (and boy are they picky about their color output :mad:)

There are a few good suggestions in this thread for making your own TDC mark on the flywheel. If you are using a dial indicator and pinning the pump and sliding in the cam lock, you should be good to use a dremel or chisel and make your TDC mark.
