Continuing Battery Drain issues: VCDS Scan Attached

EDIT: Forgot to mention, this is a 2006 Pkg 1 with the premium audio.

Broke down and bought a copy of VCDS to try to fix this. Log is cut & paste below.

Here are the top candidates I think:
1) Parking Light Front Right Electrical Fault - Intermittent
2) Radio Control Module Defective

There are a lot of "Implausible Signal - Intermittent" and "Voltage Low" errors. Should I clear all the codes to eliminate the issue of my battery going low, keep it charged for a few days and see what comes back?

Any fault code that is Intermittent can (and probably should be) cleared. Then a week or 2 later, scan again and see if any of them come back. If they do not return, don't worry about them. Also low voltage faults are common if a battery dies or gets replaced - again clear them and see what comes back.

As long as you save the scan (so you can check back later) you can always try clearing any fault code. If it is a serious problem, it will come back pretty quickly.

BTW: There is an official VW TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) about troubleshooting battery drain issues. You might find it helpful if clearing fault codes doesn't fix your problem. It is here: http://pics.tdiclub.com/data/500/TSB_27_08_04_Matrix.pdf

Yup, I'd not rely on VCDS diagnostics to be much help here... the TSB is a great way to figure it out quickly.

FYI, I did once have a battery drain issue with my '09 and it did turn out to be a weird fault code from my radio. It prevented the radio and thus the CAN bus from "going to sleep". I cleared the code, and the problem went away and never came back. However, I also admit that this is unusual, as you suggest.

Yep, I tried isolating it with my Multimeter but none of the fuses that I could meter pointed to an issues. Combine that with the completely useless fuse diagrams (because they kept moving wiring) and it was at exercise in futility.

I'll clear all the codes and see what comes back.

I used the tsb and was able to track mine down although it took a couple tries to find it. I would have never tracked it down without that tsb...was a bad LED trunk light, keeping the CECS from going to sleep and draining my battery.
