Smile Official Ontario CARS FOR SALE thread

There have been quite a few FS threads recently for people selling cars. While there is a specific section of the forum for selling cars, an item as large as a car really should be in a regional FS add.

So I have created this thread for users to post their cars for sale. I ask that you post all the relevant info and pictures in your post here and all correspondance can be conducted through PM's.

Or, simply post in the correct section and link your add in this thread for local viewers to peruse. This thread will be a sticky for better exposure and I will keep an eye on this thread and clean up any unecessary posts and delete any cars that are sold at the request of the seller.

Any further suggestions on how to handle this thread are welcome, but please do so via PM to keep this thread as clean as possible.

Thanks and good luck with your sales.

Thread clean up of OLD, SOLD and irrelevant posts. If yours was one that I deleted and is still for sale, please feel free to re-post, but anything older than a couple months or has a dead link has been removed.

Thanks.

EDIT - SOLD. Wagon for sale!

TLDR: Bought car for daughter, fixed it all up for her to drive to school, got into residence, Wife won't let me keep it.

Backstory: I acquired this wagon from a TDIclubber for the daughter, who is now of driving age, to commute from home to class every day when she goes to University at McMaster in the fall.

Turns out she got into residence, and the wife won't let me hang onto the car for an extra year with no one to drive it.

Details:

2003 Jetta Wagon, ALH, auto, Blue with Tan interior, 316k.

Good:
New timing belt (by me), Correct procedures used, all new and correct parts/rollers/bolts acquired from Brain at Roseland, Cam and Crank seals done at the same time. Serp belt also done at the same time.
Intake freshly cleaned (wasn't that bad, but going to clean it anyway)
New struts at all 4 corners
AC works fine
All electrics work (heated seats, windows, door switches etc.
Recent tires, all at 8/32"
Front brakes @ 80%, rear brakes at 60%. (see pictures)
Starts up in half a crank revolution.
No codes stored in the engine or transmission computers, shifts perfect.
Comes with Snow tires mounted on rims, Average 7-8/32" tread left.

Not as good:
It's an automatic. However, it shifts fine and the fluid was in good shape when I changed it out with mobil one synthetic auto trans fluid.
At some point in it's life, a moderately sized tree fell on it (see pics) and dented the leading edge of the roof, the drivers door, and cracked the windshield in the upper left corner,
hatch has typical surface rust starting in the corners.
Other than the exterior dings, interior is in really good shape - heated seats work fine, and bolsters are in good condition - no tears.

Because I like covering bases, even though this auto shifts fine, I have parts to convert it to a 5spd incoming. If you want it to be a 5spd, let me know - I'm sure we can work something out.

Asking $3500 as she sits. Inspections by your favourite mechanic / shop more than welcome.

450,000 kms, starts and runs great, no smoke on startup
no interior, and brakes are pretty well shot

motor runs great, and tranny and clutch are complete
perfect for a 5 speed swap, and a spare motor to boot
he only wants 600 for it

Selling my 2006 BEW wagon. Turbo went out, great time for a VNT-17 (or whatever turbo you choose). Invested a lot of time (and $$$) and spent a lot of time on these forums learning a lot, hopefully someone here will benefit from my loss.

I've got an 02 jetta tdi 5spd with around 200km on it. Not currently running, ran fine when parked 4 years ago. Currently has PP520's in it, heated cloth seats, full woodgrain kit, VR6 GLX rear window shade, trailer wired/ready hidden hitch, monster mats, kenwood dvd nav ipod deck, leather door cards/center console new center console with extra cupholders, working glovebox/dash cupholders. Stock wheels, few dents and dings, 1 key, i purchased the car with a salvage title. Asking $2200 on kijiji

I've also got a 95 Passat TDI with just over 500km on it, 1 owner car, interior semi disassembled but i should have most if not all parts for it around. also not running, been in storage for aprox 10 years. Asking $600 on kijiji

Both are solid cars, neither have rust problems, passat has a minor rust spot or two but nothing major, Jetta has no rust what so ever. PM me for more details or check out hamilton kijiji for the ads. Both cars located in fenwick, ontario.

I live downtown Toronto, and I put a motorcycle on the road and didn't want to pay for insurance for both- insurance was more for me on my car then my bike. That was a big issue to me but paying to park it everywhere/paying for a parking spot was also frustrating. I dropped a good battery in it yesterday and it started right up as soon as the glowplug light went out- no hesitation what so ever. Car has 213,197km. I bought the car with a salvage title, and put 70-80k on it and had no problems, car was solid and reliable throughout my ownership. Feel free to ask any questions here or via PM.

The Passat is still for sale.

I've also got a 72' Jaguar XJ Project car for sale with fresh body/paint work and Broken Kitty small block V8 motor mounts. Lots of new parts and labor has/have gone into this car.

Default 2000 Golf

I have a 2000 Golf with the Jetta front end (Jolf). It has the 1.8T in it.
Could pass a safety with a bit of work. Has had the belt and pump done within 20,000KM. Looking to get $1000 for it. Message me with any questions.
It needs:
rear brakes
flex in the front pipe (included)
hood adjusted
patch on a rocker panel

Default FS: 2000 Audi A3 TDI 2 door

Factory european 2000 Audi A3 1.9L TDI 5 speed. AHF engine code. 110hp stock and now chipped. 5 speed. Plenty of upgrades: lowered springs, upper strut tie bar, 18" alloys, Kamei grill and S series front bumper. Leather interior. 296TKM. Just had a full proper Timing belt kit including the H20 pump. Imported properly and clear registration in my name.
One very cool detail on this car is that while is very cool and unique looking it's basically a MK IV Golf under the skin so all service components are readily available.
$9750
