Thumbs up TrackMania LAN Party

As mentioned in the schedule of events thread, Jason and I will be hosting a TrackMania LAN Party in our room (or perhaps elsewhere in the hotel, depending on how many people are interested). I'm not sure which night this is going to take place yet, but I suspect that we'll just play it by ear. It might end up being a couple of nights.

So, if you're up for drunken shenanigans, online racing, competition, and good friendship, feel free to sign up.

This will be a simple come-as-you-are type thing. Bring yourself, a laptop, and some snacks, and join the party. Everyone is welcome!

Please sign up here so that I know how many people to accomodate for in terms of space and whatnot.

FYI, if you don't have the game, and you are interested in seeing what it's all about, you can download it for free at http://www.trackmania.com ... make sure you get Nations Forever. See what the new hit online racing game is all about... it has already set a couple of world records and currently has over 1.2 million players world-wide.

People can join if they're not at Fest. We will be on our own game server. The server is up and running now, so if you want to check it out, search for the server "tdiclub" with "volkswagen" as the password.

Also, if you forget to download it for whatever reason, we will have the game file available on a flash drive at Fest.

you can join if not at Fest, however you'll be assessed a 5 second penalty on ever track you race.

bhtooefr can't post because he's banned, but he says that he'll be there, too.

I'm not really sure how much it requires on average. The more people playing on a track, the more it takes.
